Cochise's speach drew more emotion out of me than any other reading so far.. not too sure why

I am totally confused by Black Elk Speaks.. him being sick is obviously messing with his head but its making it difficult for me to follow.

I never would have guessed that being a Creole in this region and time period would make one so high in society.
