Steam in-home streaming update:
heavily modded skyrim, over wifi to a Surface Pro - playable, but 20fps (vsync)
arkham city - 30fps, quite smooth. this is almost worst case scenario, here. Impressed.

Steam in-home streaming: very promising. Only tried a few games, but a couple were very playable. Pretty sweet for a beta

Not at all prepared to go back to work

Finally got my ladyfriend to watch Justice League. She was way dubious, bein a marvel gal. She watched a couple, for my sake. Now it's on

Ah, humpday.

pro: one of the coworkers whose job I've been doing is coming back 2morrow.
Con: she's kind of a PITA and she's gonna be mad at me.

I'm still kicking. Pretty soon here, I'll be able to take some time off work. Oh man, that will be sweet

So, the snow got so bad here, the mayor declared a winter emergency and my employer, the state, closed for business the 1st time in 40+ yrs.

What's that, nature? You have a foot of snow for me? But...I mean with the ice and everything from last we-- okay then.

Update: I got power back earlier this week, which is good, cuz it's way below freezing. But of course, I'm sick now, heh.
