because the prozac thing was such a fucking fiasco, she decided to hold off on trying another new antidepressant for a few weeks and instead she's putting me back on the adhd meds

which is exactly what i was hoping for, so once the prior auth goes through tomorrow or the next day i'll be restarting vyvanse and i should be back in rp with a fucking vengeance if it's anything like before

starting at 30 for 2 weeks and then increasing the dose to get back to what i was taking in arizona, it should be great

and then, yeah, next month around mid-september we're going to start looking into other anti-depressants to work in again, but i'm very pleased to have at least a month of productivity to look forward to

MEDS!!

Hell yeah! I’m glad you’re getting the ADHD meds. Getting back on Vyvanse has been NIGHT AND DAY for my creativity/productivity/fatigue/depression (which...often spirals out from anxiety) .
I’m always super excited when I see that someone else is able to treat theirs bc man does it affect EVERYTHING.
yeah when I tell people that getting my adhd meds helped with my depression and anxiety they're like "that's dumb" IT'S NOT don't act like you know shit when you obviously don't lmao
it's so often interwoven.......a big ol' mess of mental illnesses hanging out together
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ
yeah no it's been clinically proven that treating adhd helps with anxiety and depression, and that both depression and anxiety are often symptoms of untreated adhd
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ

so you are fully valid

floodplain: yeaaaah that’s not dumb at ALL. First of all, dopamine is involved in both?? But also, being able to uh, function and organize and not feel like you’re drowning or can’t do anything without needing a nap and not having emotional dysregulation flare up as badly? KINDA HELPS
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ

and I know being adhd medicated has positively impacted mine in the past

yeah...but you know how people can get lol ANYWAY i'm glad you've got a plan for getting back to it

it's beyond past due
god. i'm struggling when it goes a couple weeks because thanks, all these fucking adhd med shortages
my job is like "we need you to prove you can handle more on your plate!" My numbers are low because i am bored as fuuuuuck please give me a new thing i'm dying of boredom when I can't get my meds

i've heard about that being a persistent problem, my buddy karen has had the same struggles trying to get hers and having a constant battle with the pharmacy about it
i haven't had trouble with it once i got a script up here but.....then this month they're out and of course they never know when they might get more
but god, last year in kentucky was sooo bad. i love rationing the meds that give me focus lol
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ

YEAH MAN that's the problem karen was having

i can only hope i missed the worst of that now that i'm finally getting back on it, i guess we'll see after the preauth goes through tomorrow
hopefully you can avoid it yeah

she didn't tell me this in the meeting but looking at the after-visit notes in my virtual chart, it looks like the antidepressant she's thinking of introducing a few weeks after the vyvanse is something called Trintellix?
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ
i have fully never heard of that before in my entire life lmfao what the fuck is trintellix
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ

2 seconds on google says that it increases wellbutrin, that it and wellbutrin amplify each other so that's interesting and... potentially good for me?
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ
and it targets different shit than prozac which... yeah, good
Oh yeah. I think ... 2022? (God I don’t remember) I was on a med that functions similarly with my pristiq and it was amazingly helpful!! Until.....I started staying up for 36+ hours at a time unable to sleep lol which was a possible known side effect. Hopefully you can also avoid that lmao
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ

oh boy lmfao the vyvanse already gives me insomnia
ⲉⲙ—ᴅαsԋ

i am fucking doomed
Noooo you’re not shhhh lol

but also, like. honestly, at this point i'm at a pick your battles stage, and if i have to choose between productivity and consistent sleep i choose the former
Every brain is different
Yeah I was on top of shit, but it also included muscle issues which were bad bad so for me I had to let go lmao

they gave me trazadone to counter the vyvanse insomnia back in arizona, maybe i can just slap some of that on to help

you really gotta be laying down and let the sleep take you bc if you fight it even for more than 5 minutes it wears off
i take it for ptsd and like i guess its ok
