Imagine this: you've got 100 friends, and anonymous messages start popping up on your timeline of someone shit-talking you
How do you know which friend is doing it and who to remove from your list to get rid of the harassing remarks
Well, at least if it's replurkable, it'll break it down by public timeline, and any replies will not be anonymous.
But that's about all it has going for it.
Otherwise I see nothing but drama on the horizon, despite ho much I support anonymity.

Plurk might be pretty niche in a lot of regions, but there's no other service that offers anything quite like it does!

You can very easily find out by who replied who can view it and figure out who it was by mutual friends list, which is all all public and visable.

Anonymous plurks are a TERRIBLE idea. I do not want to deal with this, please let people opt out of allowing anonymous plurks on their timeline.
Better yet, don't implement anonymous plurks at all.

unfortunately, no. What I read is the same Chinese and Japanese characters beside the alphabetical characters. Plurk just shows what you written, not translate it...
reinhart: in some upper plurks, indonesians also use bahasa, so why taiwanese cannot use chinese? (except situations that speaks to foreigners)

Alexa plainly said that it's "visitors", while I'm talking about users. I believe you also talks about users in your previous comment, right? So let's forget about visitor for now.
if we're talking about visitors, Taiwan obviously got the lead because Indonesia's connection isn't so good. Moreover, can Alexa separate the visit from the bots?

Even though we can figure out who post it, we can't get a 100% sure about the person behind the anonymous plurk's post. Can he and his friends restructurized their friendlist...
and make those he didn't even know as his fan? That way, he can avoid many negative anonymous post from those he don't even know...
Um... have he thought of creating a new account? I know it sounds like going back to the start, but he can filter out who one he want to add as friend and who should be the fans...
of course after creating one, he should notify that he just created a new account so his friends should immediately add him again...

why opt out? anonymous plurks are a way to express oneself without being judged who they are. i suggest a "REPORT" plurk not an OPT-OUT. since it only have a limited number of times per day, that should be...
easy to moderate. or have it so that enough report button clicks hmm... like 99+, should suspend that "anonymous" from plurking anonymously for a week and a warning.

The anonymous option only works once a day so I don't think there is concern for spamming anonymous plurks unless 99 different people use it all at once on your timeline.
