there has been a series of over 60+ small aftershocks, according to the news, none of which woke me up (went to sleep like 50 mins. after the first one).
Maybe. That one happened in the northern coast of Cuba, which lies in the North America Plate. The one we had last night was in the Caribbean Plate. And those two are pushing each other.
to follow up with old news, there were close to 250 small earthquakes in a 24-hour period following the M6.5 of last night, most of which were actually aftershocks. The "biggest" was a M4.2 one.
There were over a 120+ today (approximate number hasn't been given out), the biggest of which was a M4.2 again. And they're still happening, so I guess that makes us the land of jello right now.
