Camp Nano July has finished up. I got 6,669 words in for Bargain of Bones, it's not the 15,000 I was aiming for, but July sent me some curve balls. On the upside, I'm a scene away from breaking into Act Two and I'm also most at 30,000 words.

Eek! I've been so bad about popping into Plurk. I'm sorry my friends! I think part of it is I haven't had much to report. I'm still job hunting, about an app a week, but no bites yet.

Oh my goodness it's Graduation next Sunday! I'm still kind of in mild disbelief, but also excited. Mostly right now I'm wishing I could fast fwd to the part where I have a job, lol.

Camp Nanowrimo wrapped up! I didn't make my 35,000 word goal, but I'm still really happy with how it went! I wrote almost everyday (I think I missed about four days in the month), I started with 7790 words and was able to write 12,500 new ones Yay! Now I have a 20,000 word story of 52 pages, hooray! I claim this Nano a victory!

I bought my first car! I can't believe I was finally able to do this. Yay! She's a black 07 VW Beetle. I'm so excited/nervous. I call her the Stag or Staggie because she's like a big black Stag Beetle.

[The PSU BS] It's DONE! I got an email from the petition lady and she told me my substitution was ACCEPTED! Ahhh! I'm so happy and kinda shocked. I almost can't believe it, it's been years. I just wanted to say to you all, thank-you soooo much for all your love and support through all this BS. There were definitely dark times where I was despairing...

I'm so happy I've had an 8 day writing everyday streak! I'm embarrassed to admit I haven't done that in years, but I'm so pleased I have now.

I think my anxiety is trying to sabotage me. I feel like I don't know most of my characters well enough for Bargain of Bones. Also I need to make a creature and my brain is like, that's dumb. I'm trying to remind myself that I can put things in or adjust them later, and ignore my stupid downer brain.

Last night I looked over our old board games and saw Take the Brain by Parker games. Does anyone else remember this game? It came out in 1970, it's sort of a funny simplified version of chess. Although if you look at the board it doesn't look so simple.
