Yeah. I've been bitching about this with some co-workers. I think that most of us would rather leave the data the way it is and "fix" whatever can't handle it.

But that's not what will happen... and now I have heartburn. sigh

What is processing the dots? Is it like the three sea shells from Demolition man?

That's the thing, I still don't understand what they are doing to the text that is causing them problems. It's being presented as "we can't handle the upper range of unicode characters"
