You're fine, as long as you stay out of the Tenderloin, or any of the neighborhoods where there are fabric stores, because it's some sort of law that fabric stores have to be in terrible neighborhoods.

As it is, if you can get to the Westfield mall out there, hit the food court for a Ghirardelli brownie. Seriously. And make them heat it for you.

Oh and if you feel adventurous, take caltrain (I think it goes there) to Jack London Square in Oakland and hit Home of Chicken and Waffles. Best Soul Food ever.

they're right off the tracks, so very easy to find. And get a slice of their pecan pie. Even if you hate pecan pie, this is to die for.

But Ghirardelli Brownies at the Westfield Mall on Market. Seriously. Worth. The. Trip. Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop at Westfield San Francis...

If you go to any other Ghirardelli shop in the City they will deny the existence of Brownies. So this is where you have to be.

a girl in my classroom last year would get whole foods lunches from her mom and the price tag on the box was always about that.
