I mean, wow, it would be BEYOND cool to bring a new baby into the world, but also, yeah, it seems to me there's a LOT more that can go wrong other than breech birth or prolapse.
HARD MODE: literally half the hospitals around here don't have OB wards. Meaning, it might be a LOOOONG drive to get them to a hospital that's got obstetrics, like, at ALL.
The guys looked vaguely squicked, so of course we females in the class decided to run with that, and started googling stuff that women did with placentas.
PurePlum: My mom says that she (a nurse) remembers cosmetics companies coming by the hospital weekly exactly for that! Not sure if it's still as widespread. Then again, I'm not exactly a makeup expert!
