cast iron pans and griddles are great workhorse gifts if people like to cook, same with stand mixer. I have favourite gadgets like flippers and spatulas that I will also get people if I know they cook

I would say a small food processor, you can do a ridiculous amount with one of those, anf they're only about the size of a small jar of coffee grinds

instant pot is nice because it's very versatile.
