Eventually Glorfindel might get his sword back, but now he wants to talk about it. Any thoughts on what it would be named? Glamdring and Orcist were two other Gondolin swords, so similarly named, perhaps? Or would he have been gifted one in Valinor after being reborn? Suggestions are welcome!
I reckon he'd probably have a new one from Valinor

Glamdring was originally Turgon's sword, and Orcist belonged to one of the 12 House lords, but if it was Glorfindel, he'd have had something to say about just giving it to Thorin and burying him with it. LOL

Mm, nope, Glamdring and Orcist were forged prior to Maeglin being born. Remember, he was a young elf. Glorfindel, Ecthelion and the others took his mother on the journey 200 years after Gondolin's founding, and Gondolin only lasted 400 years.

yeah, but they're supposed to be gondolindhrim-blades, recognizable by a script particular to gondolin
so they can't be made at all before FA 116, when gondolin was completed

oh btw, Arwen is Arwen Evenstar, because she's the evenstar of her people. It was Luthien who was the morningstar of her people, so she's the dawn princess.
