Still shopping for a new place to live. Also, working beaucoup over-time, packing what I can, and going through things to see what I am willing to get rid of. Also finishing projects, and logic problems. LOL
Fun fact, I'm moving this week after being told March....12th? That I had to move by May 1st lol
We took the first place that fit our min requirements even if it's a horribly small space
MY POINT IS you can totally find a place
It's just going to continue to suck until then/until you're all moved into said new place
Do you want me to help search? I got decently good at it recently. (though if not given internet friend knowing where you;'ll live and all, I very much understand)
Yes, please, help would be great! Portland Metro Area in Oregon, 2 bed, 1 bath, 1000 sq ft are the minimums. No manufactured homes (loan won't cover them). And you have to watch out for those HOAs. They can be killer.
Private messaging for the search
Replying on April 30, since I was in the hospital from March 18 to today, I'm out.\
I hope you found a place to live, and I hope all else is going well for you. <3
And Curufin sends his love to Glorfindel. <3
OH MY GOSH!! I am glad you are out of the Hospital!
We found a place to RENT! Yay!!
Oh hey, that's great news! On all counts!
We will be starting the moving process by next week, is the plan. Though, honestly, I've been packing stuff and putting it in a storage locker, so all the craft stuff, the DVDs, extra clothes, ALL the Fabric, and games and things are there.
You know...if you don't have that many boxes, but have a SLIGHT reusable grocery bag hoarding issue...they make an excellent alternative. Plus, handles.
But now I am looking at the cost of hiring movers for the big stuff and EEP!
Oh yeah. I've done a LOT of moving over the years. Bags and binbags work just as well as boxes in a hurry
overs are expensive and a pain to work with ::nods::
I’ve never done it, but I’ve heard that sometimes grocery stores will let you have the boxes they were gonna toss anyway
Movers are sadly expensive but I had a great experience with mine
Okay, moving plus packing, on a Sunday...about $5000 in Oregon for 14 hours. Eep! Calling Vancouver for a quote from them, they may be a little cheaper.
My movers were $2500 for 10 hours x.x And didn't finish
I hope whoever you hire does a complete job.
It's like $256 per hour. We're going to start shifting some stuff ourselves once we get the keys, to save some money, I think!
Our last mvers were a nightmare. Do not use Red Carpet if that is one of the choices.
Took three separate days because they were apparently goofing around so much that the building called the cops on them, showed up super late, stayed well past when they were allowed to stay. It was just... bad.
Yay, you found a place to live!!!!
