Just need some hugs. Asthmatic 14yo Ronin kitty went in for diaphragmatic hernia repair this am. Too much fluid in lungs, suspected pneumonia. Seized when coming out of anesthesia. Now being monitored. Poor dude.

Ronin is home. He licked through his catheter scab within minutes of being freed, so he's coned for now. Indignant kitty.

And now we have to pill him for 9 more days. Trauma for all of us.

Would he be more amenable to something like this?

Thanks for the idea! He's been de-coned for now, so we're good. But I will keep that in mind.

I saw a post of someone using a sturdy paper plate with the hole cut out and it looked like an decent substitute to a cone.

Does he take pill pockets? They were wonderful for getting our cats to take pills.
