there is no good reason why this game is as heavy as it is. you don't need this much texture fidelity for a game that is primarily spent with the camera mega far away. it's ridiculous.
yarnsh: the hair has dynamic physics too. there's no need. ff14 has hair physics but it's baked in I'm pretty sure, pre-animated then just conditionally proc'd and it looks great. steam version of bg3 has really bad pop-in too for some reason.
