We got the biopsies back and it's not cancer! It was a benign tumour! The type of tumour could apparently cause severe internal bleeding, so it would have needed to be taken care of anyway, but now it's gone and I never had cancer anyway!
[cancer] Cryoablation surgery appears to have gone well! I feel a little beat up, a lot tired, but ultimately my body is working as expected. Follow up appointment with the doctor in a month. I think we’ll start finding out how well it killed the tumour around then!
[Cancer] Update on the status! Because of concerns about my heart (I have congestive heart failure) it's been decided to try out a less invasive procedure first. This procedure being Cryoablation. It has a slight chance of failure, but they can go back in again to do it again to kill anything they didn't catch the first time.
[Cancer] So! Current status. I have a surgery scheduled on the 17th of February to remove a tumor from one of my kidneys. As you can probably tell from the content warning, it is thought to be cancerous. However the prognosis looks good.
Just a basic update so no one worries! It's looking most likely that my surgery will be scheduled in (and hopefully FOR) December. I'll explain what it's for when I know for sure.
[irl] /flops on the ground. It’s a good thing I put in for activity exemptions because thanks to all the appointments I’ve been doing SO much sleeping.
