is Plurk the Twitter-killer?

it's acceptable for Twitter to do database management on a Sunday night. I guess...

Plurk had the posting options that Twitter had, including SMS and an API for desktop / mobile applications.

thinking Plurk is pretty nifty! I agree with leolaporte about the headless dog... What's the hell is with that?
