Cooking has come to a point of being somewhat a hobby to me. And by hobby doesn't mean I am an expert, and in fact I don't have to be an expert at cooking to have it as a hobby

In my case, just having a kitchen alone is enough to motivate me to start cooking. I would always try to find a chance to cook something every day

I think cooking is one of the most basic things one has to master before living on their own. It doesn't matter whether you have your own home or being homeless, being able to cook means a better chance of survival

I just can't understand why some people seem to refuse to learn how to cook (or for those who can cook simple food, why they don't try to improve). I mean cooking to us is as important hunting and growing food to our ancestors from tens of thousands years ago

Having been living by myself for more than 10 years now I am grateful that I can cook my own meal and don't have to rely on restaurants for my fill of food

That's why I don't consider $5/mo cheap these days if we take into consideration of how many other subscriptions one have to pay. I think demanding a price of $1/mo is not being a cheapskate. A mere data syncing service should not be priced equivalent to a Netflix or Microsoft Office subscription

Most people would have or need to subscribe to 5-10 services these days. It's not always because they want to but because there's no alternatives either in the form of one-off payment or offline counterparts. If people are paying average $5 for one service, imagine paying for 10. In a year a person would have paid more than $500!

Again, with exception of Adobe and Microsoft, most other subscriptions are around $5-10 monthly for one service, or maybe not more than $50 annually, but we are talking about subscribing to only one service here
