Today was a snow day in Arizona!

I have been home for almost two whole weeks - the most quiet time I've had to myself at home all year. So strange!!

...an hour-long Lyft/Uber ride and a 6-hour flight ahead of me. My confirmed non-Covid cold is almost gone, I have an N95, and my sis is counting on me for auntie nannying, so I'm going forward. However, my allergies to Los Angeles are wreaking havoc on my airway. Go go gadget honey and ginger!! 🍵🍯

...how time has flown so quickly! This is my last day in LA before hopping a plane to Anchorage tomorrow. I've had my head down in work, plus whirlwind escapades to family events, soccer games...

...while Shadow continues to freak out because SQUIRREL.
I let him out front for a while (fenced, but not well enough to leave him unattended) but it's hot, humid, & so smoky from fire!! 🤢🤦🏼‍♀️ Back inside now. This quiet afternoon is not as relaxing as I'd planned! 😜

I've tucked myself into a corner of my family's table, and I'm diving in to tiny artwork! Shadow is keeping me company. Everyone else is at work or school, and the house is peacefully quiet - when the squirrel in the yard isn't cussing at the pooch. 🤦🏼‍♀️

...finally rested up after my marathon of ~ 40 waking hours! I got a little punchy towards the end - I was listening to an audiobook in the shower last night, to keep awake long enough to wash the airports off myself. Instead of visualizing the story, I realized what I was actually doing was dozing off on my feet 😵‍💫

...had 1 hour of sleep during a car ride and 3 sitting-up micro-naps in the last 27 hours.
Stand back!! I'm going to use coffee!!

..."run over by a truck," as my mom used to call post-migraine days. Yesterday was grueling: light sensitivity, nausea, fumblingness, with a 3-hour Zoom meeting plus 2 hours of digital art on a deadline. 😵 Today I woke up & the migraine was just gone. So weird how it does that, but so glorious! Recovery's still miserable, but it's a happy misery! 😵‍💫
