Plurk seems to be making the unnecessary friend/follower distinction that Twitter dropped. Too much overhead.

I don't think Plurk's interface will scale too well, but perhaps there's a trick they employ to display lots of plurks.
Cool - the "freestyle" option gets rid of the stupid verb suggestions.
